Save #InvestInBoston

So your boy Mumbles pulled some corny stuff and vetoed Invest In Boston which passed in the city council unanimously. Please see action steps below and take them. This is Councillor Felix G. Arroyo's signature piece of legislation, we owe him this. Let's make sure it doesn't get lost in the power games of a rapidly shifting political landscape. ("thanks for feeling me on this y'all")

------------------------------
As you know, the City Council unanimously passed Invest in Boston on September 18th. After the vote, Councilor Arroyo explained that while this is a victory, it is not the end and he was right. The Mayor vetoed our Invest in Boston ordinance on Friday, October 4th.

This does not mean the end of our bill. At the next Council Meeting on October 23rd, Councilor Arroyo will be calling for a vote to override the veto of Invest in Boston. We need your help to get the 9 votes we need to successfully make it happen.

1. Please email and call the City Council urging them to vote in favor of Invest in Boston on Wednesday! Email city.council@cityofboston.gov and call 617-635-3040.

2. Spread the word by sharing it on Facebook and Twitter

3. Come to the City Council Meeting on Wednesday, October 23rd for the vote!

Thank you again for your continued advocacy. Together, we will ensure that we only invest in banks that invest in Boston!
